How We Began
House of Air Conditioning began under the name Fred’s Air Conditioning. Fred Hazen moved to the Sarasota/Bradenton area in 1980 after leaving the military to be with his family. He began his education in A/C school, and his first job in the industry was with House of Air Conditioning.
Here he met Donald Drechsler (the current license holder for House of Air Conditioning).
In 1986, Fred began helping Donald run and build his A/C company by acquiring larger jobs and providing a level of service that was unmatched in the industry. Donald sold the company in 2017 and Fred hoped to join him in retirement. Donald knew he had the perfect person to take over for Fred.
On April 15,2022 Austin Drechsler bought the business. Austin has grown up in Sarasota, Florida and has been around the A/C business his entire life. Austin graduated from Riverview High School in 2014 and began working in the trade immediately, while also completing 3 years of schooling at Suncoast Technical College, attending HVAC classes at night while working during the day.
The vast experience he acquired as he learned from 2 of the best licensed A/C Contractors in the industry, combined with keeping those exceptional resources is what separates House of AC from their competitors.
